When Penhall's allegations about Addabbo fail to get an investigation, he asks to be reassigned, not wanting to ride with a cop he suspects of murder. Hanson is then assigned as Addabbo's partner, while a distraught Penhall turns to HOES for comfort and ends up spending the night at her apartment.
