To solve the murder of Evelyn Marks, a popular high school teacher, Capt. Fuller poses as a teacher, while Hoffs goes undercover as a student. Hoffs joins the staff of the school paper, befriending Megan Bennett, one of the editors. Fuller takes over Evelyn's classes and meets a young student teacher, Denise Price.
