In prison for killing Buddy Tower, a cop, Hanson's identity as a police officer is discovered by his fellow inmates. During a game of pool in the rec room, he is attacked and narrowly escapes being killed by two convicts. Having testified against Hanson, Booker has been reassigned to work with Tower's partner, Frank Farrell, who is leaving the force to join real estate developer Raymond Crane as his head of security. When he begins to suspect Farrell's involvement in the shooting of Tower, Booker returns to the Jump Street Chapel to see his former partners. They accuse him of selling out Hanson and demand he leave. That night, after replaying the events leading up to the shooting, Booker concludes that Farrell, not Hanson, killed Tower.
