After Penhall learns Clavo has been hurt and taken to the hospital, he panics and leaves Ioki alone on a stakeout to wait for backup. When a gunfight subsequently endangers Ioki's life, Penhall is suspended from Jump Street for having abandoned his partner and reassigned to uniformed duty in one of the city's worst precincts. Taken in by a group of officers led by a cop named Wolf, Penhall soon learns corruption is standard operating procedure in the 43rd Precinct. Meanwhile, another newcomer to the 43rd, a rookie named Dean Garrett, is suspected by the Wolf Pack of being an undercover officer for Internal Affairs.
