When Sally learns that Playpen Magazine is coming to campus and will pay women $600 to pose naked, she's ready to sign up, in spite of the fact that women at Pendleton are planning to picket. Sally tells Dick her plan and he supports her, even though Mary observes that it's so demeaning. Nina reminds her that she herself posed naked 20 years ago, and Dick informs her that posing naked may be fine for Sally, but not for his girlfriend. It's very upsetting to imagine that there are naked pictures of Mary floating around. Tommy is completely smitten with Alissa, his partner in biology lab. Dick and Mrs. Dubcek discuss nudity and the difference between art and smut. Harry gives Sally some pointers on sexy posing. Dick becomes obsessed with the idea of Mary's pictures and decides that all nudity is disgusting. He thinks he's seeing things when he returns to the apartment and finds Harry stark naked.
