Mary confides to Dick that Chancellor Stevens seems to be avoiding her, while both Dick and Mary observe that he's spending a lot of time with Judith. When Mary doesn't get the memo about a re-scheduled meeting, she is even more apprehensive about what's going on. Dick is able to wangle some information from Judith. She tells Dick she's writing the Chancellor's Badger Day speech. An extremely paranoid Dick thinks she's hiding something and leads Mary to the conclusion that Judith is after her job. Dick takes Harry, Sally and Tommy to a riverboat casino where she gets Sally hooked up with a Neil Diamond impersonator. Dick tells Mary about a mysterious document that Judith is hiding in her desk, and Mary becomes obsessed with getting a look at it. They break into Judith's office, the police arrive, Dick makes a run for it, but Mary is hauled off to jail.
