A Canterbury Tale

This English drama follows an American and three Brits en route to Canterbury Cathedral toward the tail end of World War II, with a nod to Geoffrey Chaucer's famed 14th-century work about a group of motley pilgrims. Among the travelers are British soldier Sgt. Peter Gibbs (Dennis Price), American soldier Sgt. Bob Johnson (played by real-life GI Sgt. John Sweet), a local girl (Sheila Sim) and a magistrate (Eric Portman).
