Stephen Ashe is a hotshot California lawyer from a well-to-do family. When he wins a case for mobster Ace Wilfong, he invites Wilfong to a party being thrown at his parents' house to celebrate. At the party, Wilfong meets Stephen's daughter, Jan, and they run off together. Stephen attempts to lure his wild daughter away from her criminal boyfriend, but she fights him at every turn.
