Drew Brees has agreed to a 5-year $100 million deal that includes a record $60 million guaranteed, making it the richest contract in league history. According to the league, players union and team sources, the contracts first-year take in 2012 is a staggering $40 million. Brees told ESPN after the completion of his new deal, 'I love my organization, team, and the city of New Orleans. Thank you especially to (owners) Gayle and Tom Benson for the opportunity. Now I need to go earn it.'
