Applied Materials, Inc. (NASDAQ: AMAT) reported fiscal third quarter net income fell to $168 million, or 14 cents per share, from $218 million, or 17 cents per share, in the year-ago quarter. After the bell Thursday, the company issued earnings guidance that fell short of Wall Street estimates.
