Looking thin and tired, newly freed FARC hostage Alberto Erazo is surrounded by family as he recovers in a Colombian hospital. 'Welcome to freedom' a sign reads-- Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos wishes him a speedy recovery. Erazo was discovered by the military over the weekend and brought to safety, he managed to escape his captors after being held for nearly 12 years, in part by hiding inside a tree trunk.
