Italy arrived in Rio de Janeiro on Friday (June 6) ready for the start of the World Cup finals. The 2006 World Cup champions flew to Brazil fresh from a surprise 1-1 draw against minnow team Luxembourg in a friendly match in Perugia. Italy coach Cesare Prandelli was third down the steps of his team's plane, flanked by players in dark suits. Many, like striker Mario Balotelli, were already wearing their sunglasses.
