This is the first detailed view for outsiders of the scene in Canada where a runaway train and its cargo of crude oil devastated the small town of Lac-Megantic. Police allowed a view from the perimeter of the disaster area. The 1.4 square kilometer epicenter where the train and its 72 tankers exploded into flames is still considered too dangerous for all but investigators and emergency workers. Fifty people were killed in the accident on July 6th.
