Medan jail burns as more than 200 prisoners escaped to freedom in Indonesia's fourth largest city. Police said the blaze was started by convicts protesting because water and electricity supplies had been cut off all day. Officers said five people were killed in the fire at the maximum security Tanjung Gusta jail. Soldiers and police are still trying to track down many of the escapees. By Friday at least 64 had been recaptured. More than 170 others were still on the run.
