A spectacular view of the Northern lights. This time-lapse, captured by a nature photographer, shows aurora borealis illuminating the sky over the southern Norwegian city of Trondheim. The view is particularly unusual, as the lights don't usually shine as brightly in the south. Most people travel to northern Norway, which is close to the North Pole, to see the incredible sight that occurs when solar explosions and flares hit the Earth's magnetic field.
