'Breakfast with Mugabe' was written by British playwright Fraser Grace after reading an article about the president being severely depressed, and convinced he was haunted by a ghost. Mugabe, who is known for his racist views towards white people, sought treatment from a white psychiatrist. Grace says writing about the relationship was important for the play.
