In the near future, the U.S. prison system is run by corporate entities. But tycoon R.D. Crowley (Robert Davi) has done the penal system one better; he's created a virtual-reality prison that locks prisoners' bodies in suspended animation while their subconscious minds engage in lethal games Crowley has designed. What's more, for a tidy fee, Crowley encourages wealthy sportsmen to participate in deadly combat with the slumbering prisoners.
