Below the Belt

Wanting more zest in her drab life, waitress Rosa Rubinsky (Regina Baff) takes a leap into the world of professional women's wrestling. Soon, she's fighting under the name of The Mexican Spitfire on the Midwest circuit in this gritty drama. Coached by veteran wrestler Mildred Burke (playing herself), Regina doesn't soar to instant fame, but begins to find joy in her life. The film is based on Rosalyn Drexler's novel &NFi;To Smithereens&NFi_;.
