Yesterday, the world lost a literal huge talent in the form of Luciano Pavarotti, gifted opera singer and man of many hats, literally:
The man had been sick for some time now, but last night, surrounded by his family, he passed away at the youngish age of 71, from pancreatic cancer. Whether or not you appreciate opera in its hours-long glory, you had to respect and even revere this man who sky-rocketed to worldwide fame thanks to his large presence and even larger voice. He was arguably the best of his kind, and sadly now, he is gone. So to honor this amazing talent, we bring you two videos. The first is a brilliant performance alongside another recently passed great, James Brown, singing It;s a Man;s World. Then, after the jump, it wouldn;t be a Pavarotti rememberance post without a clip of arguably his most famously performed song, Puccini;s Nessun Dorma. Somewhere, a fat lady is singing in heaven.
