While last night;s Grammy Awards were surprisingly entertaining - even the lowest points were enjoyable in a morbid sort of way, Jerry Lee Lewis Vibrating Waddle - the evening;s biggest surprise came at the end, when the Album of the Year Award was announced. Even Kanye West;s oversized neon carnival glasses shone a little dimmer when jazz pianist Herbie Hancock was revealed to be the winner, for his album of Joni Mitchell covers. For the record, I just went through menopause typing that last sentence. So because we;re all about education here, we;d like to delivery a little morning nightmare nugget that will properly introduce you to this jazz legend. It is the music video for his hit 1983 song Rockit. And it is, to say the least, bone-chilling. Animatronic mannequins, a cameo appearance from the Trainspotting Ceiling Baby and a fake Johnny 5 all band together to ensure that watching said video will cause you to vomit in fear.
