Hailing from a long line of Hollywood studios; calculated attempts to win an Oscar by producing melodramatic adaptation of what is essentially an E! True Hollywood Story (Ray, Walk The Line, Dreamgirls, etc.), Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story is poised to bring home a whole lot of statues at next year;s Academy Awards, because this biographical masterpiece has it all: the troubled slack-jawed childhood, the inability to cope with newfound fame, the rocky love story, a screenplay by Judd Apatow (a man who actually eats, breathes and poops hilarious comedy), John C. Reilly in the starring role he;s deserved for about a decade, filmed proof that Tim Meadows is still alive, and Paul Rudd playing John f*cking Lennon. I can;t remember the last time I was so horny to see a movie.
