Kenta travels to a remote desert town where he competes against Ryuga in a tournament but loses. He then follows Ryuga on a difficult cross country trek, trying to convince Ryuga that he should lend his strength as a Legendary Blader to Gingka and the others and help them to fight evil. Ryuga refuses to do so, but Kenta likewise refuses to quit, and vows to stay.
