Romantic Rio de Janeiro is the backdrop for this sensuous comedy. Widowed English teacher Mary Ann (Amy Irving) is resigned to living alone. But to her surprise, she finds two men vying for her affections: middle-aged lawyer Pedro Paulo (Antônio Fagundes) and young soccer superstar Acacio (Alexandre Borges).
