Buddy

Compassionate Long Island socialite Gertrude Lintz (Rene Russo) opens her home to a menagerie of critters, including chimps and an ailing baby gorilla, raising them as her children. But the shenanigans of the growing young gorilla -- dubbed Buddy -- become increasingly difficult for Gertrude to control in this family-oriented film costarring Robbie Coltrane and Paul Reubens. The story is based on events taken from Lintz's autobiography.
