In the boardroom W.C. Boggs and Sons, makers of fine toiletware - are testing out their latest toilet bowl for size and comfort. Hard at work in the packing room are Chloe Moor and others, under the supervision of Vic Spanner (Kenneth Cope). The industrious atmosphere doesn't last long. After a swiftly contrived dispute over tea breaks, the whole factory goes on strike. For some people like Sid Plummer (Sidney James), by him coming home early, made a fortune of horse racing. But for everybody else, the afternoon off has been far from happy. Vic has been left out on the street on his own - in his underwear. Work returns back to normal a couple days later but another strike is called by Vic when he discovers two of his fitters are required to do two jobs. W.C. Boggs is facing bankruptcy!
