Latin Grammy-winner Miguel Bose was chosen as the recipient of the Person of the Year award at the 2013 Latin Grammy Awards. The academy chose him because of his philanthropic and professional accomplishments which range over three decades. President and CEO of the Latin Academy expressed that everyone is very excited to give Bose this award, being that he is a respected artist, and a man that cares about world issues. Bose has released over 30 albums and has appeared in more than 35 movies. With the honor of Person of the Year, Miguel joins the ranks of Placido Domingo, Gloria Estefan, Vicente Fernandez, Juan Luis Guerra, Carlos Santana, Shakira and Caetano Veloso among others.
