Lauryn HIll is killing her debt softly while avoiding jail. The singer was to be sentenced to prison Monday after pleading guilty to not paying taxes on 1.8 million dollars. But luckily she was granted a final two week extension to pay the money back. So far Lauryn has paid $50,000 of the $554,000 she owes. Plus her attorney says she's about to sign a loan against two properties that will allow her to pay off the remainder of the money owed within those two weeks. Lauryn is facing several years in prison, but her legal team is hoping it doesn't come down to that and that probation will suffice.
