Rachel and Adam go through IVF treatment - both are worried about the outcome. Jessica tells David to have a party for his 40th birthday, despite Karen's reluctance. Jessica comes to the party and kisses David in the garden. Karen's mother is caught up in a swinging party and after talking to Karen about her marriage, decides to go back to Spain.
