Straightlaced Lt. Arthur Drake (Michael York) must defend fellow officer Lt. Millington (James Faulkner) when attractive widow Marjorie Scarlett (Susannah York) accuses him of rape. But all is not what it seems as Millington's hush-hush military tribunal gets under way in this biting courtroom drama set in 19th century colonial India.
