From one day and one bar brawl to the next, Rusty (Sean Hatosy) wanders through his life, happily finding himself in the middle of trouble with the only person he can relate to, his best friend, Dallas (Scott Caan). Without the understanding of Rusty's mother, Mary (Kelly Lynch), the only adult figure in either of their lives, Rusty and Dallas would never get out their jail cells. For sanity's sake, both her son's and hers, Mary employs her therapist boyfriend, Bob (Jeff Goldblum), to help set Rusty on the right path.
