The reported death of a man who had a lot of money and a lot of information takes John Drake to Switzerland. The man was an agent selling his services to any country willing to pay him....One year after the death in a Swiss clinic of a man named Hagen, money in his bank account is withdrawn. An equally large amount was drawn from another of his accounts lust before his death. And at M.1.9 in London, they have reason to wonder if he did, in fact, die when admitted to the clinic run by a Dr. Brajanska (JOHN PHILLIPS).
