Synopsis >

Sound Breaking Ground is a highly melodic, modern rock band with an emphasis on intricate vocal harmonies and traditional hard rock lead guitar. The Band, formed in 2002, hails from Houston, Texas and is anchored by brothers Michael Rod on bass and Channing Adams on lead vocals. The song writing and musicianship make them natural headliners. The band is set to launch waiting only on the proverbial lucky break necessary to put them in front of an arena audience; an audience they would take control of in short order with their high intensity live performance. Their material is most closely compared to Alice in Chains, Kings X and Nickelback. However they are influenced by everything from R & B to metal. Sound Breaking Ground are currently recording the follow up to their 2006 release, "Inner Turmoil", which received consistently strong reviews. The band continue to average 3 shows a month and have maintained a wildly loyal fan base. For SBG, music is what they live for, the medicine that keeps them sane. In addition to brothers Adams and Rod, Charlie De La Paz- guitar/vocals and new drummer Garrett Smith, the SBG lineup exudes chemistry both on and off stage. They were finalist at Emergenza Music Festival's National Battle Of The Bands and opening act for Lillian Axe, Blue October, Push Monkey and Dilana. Their music is available on iTunes, Cdbaby and myspace.
