Gabby Whittaker (George Gabby Hayes) is convinced by his granddaughter Mary (Pauline Moore) to deposit his income in the Northfield Bank, which ends up being robbed soon thereafter. Sent to find those assumed responsible -- Jesse James (Donald Barry) and his brother Frank (Harry Worth) -- Roy Rogers quickly finds that the brothers are not to blame, instead shifting his focus to Sam Wyatt (Arthur Loft), the bank's president.
