Sami asks Lucas for a divorce so she can marry EJ and save her father's life. She reasons with her husband that they won't be apart forever - just until Stefano kicks the bucket. An apoplectic Lucas warns Sami she's being played for a fool and states he will never divorce her. Meanwhile, Kate visits Stefano at the hospital and he smiles that her greatest wish is about to come true. Thanks to Stefano, Sami will be out of Lucas' life for good. Kate is overjoyed. Stefano hints that she could show her gratitude by sleeping with him. She demurs, saying he'll have to wait until the divorce is final. Lucas walks in as Kate kisses Stefano good-bye. Lucas flies into a rage, thinking his mother schemed with Stefano to ruin his marriage. Kate tries to explain she had nothing to do with it, but Lucas storms out and she runs after him. At the cemetery, Bo is outraged when EJ tells him Sami agreed to end the feud by marrying him. While examining the gravesite, the cops find Roman's badge. Bo and Abe realize Roman was buried there, but Andre switched Roman's body with Benjy's, knowing the cops would find the chauffer's uniform in his hideout and piece it all together. At the pub, Sami and EJ are stunned when Andre arrives - with Roman, who's bound and gagged! Sami is horrified to discover her father is strapped with a time-ticking bomb! Out to avenge Benjy's death, Steve tries to gain access to Stefano at the hospital. But Abe has posted a guard outside the room and given strict orders not to allow Steve in. A wily Steve calls Bo and gets him riled up. He then hands the guard his cell just as Bo shouts for him to leave the hospital and report to the cemetery. Thinking the order was for him, the guard leaves... and Steve strolls right into Stefano's room. Stefano reacts in fear as Steve pulls a gun and vows he is going to pay for Benjy's murder.
