JJ refuses to give in to Jennifer’s parental demands, claiming he’s an adult now and she can’t tell him what to do. He storms out of the house, leaving a devastated Jennifer to wonder if he’s ever coming back. Daniel arrives and offers his help. But he soon realizes she thinks he will only make things worse. He leaves Jennifer with Kristen, who comforts her friend. Meanwhile, JJ meets up with Rory, asking if he can stay at his place. Rory is certain his mom won’t allow it. Earlier, Kristen stops fighting with Nicole long enough to catch Marlena holding her purse. Not wanting Kristen to suspect they’re working together, Nicole verbally attacks Marlena, too. Nicole once again distracts Kristen, and Marlena manages to put Kristen’s phone back in the purse and also retrieve Victor’s flash drive (or so she thinks). Later, Nicole demands to know what Marlena’s plan was but Marlena makes it clear they are not allies. She does not trust Nicole, partly because of her feelings for Eric. Later, Marlena privately bemoans the fact that her and Victor’s plan came up empty, not realizing she just may be holding the key to Kristen’s downfall. Earlier, Daniel suggests to Eric they go back to the hotel to see if it triggers any memories. Eric asks Nicole to join them but off her conversation with Marlena, Nicole vehemently refuses to go, much to Eric’s puzzlement. Sami’s trial resumes, and Nick’s testimony makes things worse. When Marge takes the stand, she accidentally opens the door for Justin to bring up the $100,000 in Timmy’s bank account – and he makes use of the opportunity, much to Sami and EJ’s relief. Earlier, Adrienne and Justin agree to work on their relationship.
