Synopsis >

Kristen visits Eric to smooth things over between him and Brady and hopefully get the wedding back on track. She’s stunned when she realizes Eric seems to be blaming Nicole for his poisoning at the capitol hotel… and she suspects he might also think he had sex with Nicole. But since she can’t ask him outright and Eric refuses to give any concrete answers, Kristen decides to seek out Daniel in case Eric has confided in him. This sends her on a collision course with Marlena… Earlier, Victor chews Marlena out for letting Kristen slip through her fingers. They argue but are interrupted by Maggie. Marlena heads to the hospital, where she leaves Daniel a note in his office – and is stunned when she comes across Kristen’s flash drive! Meanwhile, Maggie confronts Victor about his secret meetings with Marlena. Victor refuses to explain, and Maggie warns him if his actions end up hurting anyone, he’ll answer to her. Daniel is relieved when Theresa wakes up not remembering what happened the night before; he knows for now she can’t rat out JJ. However, Daniel’s lie is clearly costing him as he has lost respect from his fellow hospital staff. He decides to go home – but has an awkward run-in with Jennifer before he leaves. At home, he discovers a tipsy Nicole, who is an emotional wreck off her latest fight with Eric. She tries to tell him what’s happened but is too upset. She goes to his bedroom to sleep off her drinks. Meanwhile, JJ arrives and asks Daniel about Theresa. As Daniel and JJ discuss their cover-up, an undetected Nicole overhears everything. Earlier, JJ almost comes clean with Jennifer and Abigail about Theresa but chickens out. Instead, he sincerely informs them he’s giving up drugs. Later, Hope tells Abigail about Daniel and Theresa. Meanwhile, Jennifer tells Brady she cannot come to his and Kristen’s wedding, then bitterly informs him Daniel has moved on.
