Three new boats join the fray on this season of Deadliest Catch. The 78-ft Lisa Marie, the smallest boat in the fleet, will battle waves that seem to swallow the vessel. Aboard the Incentive, a team of old salts can't find the crab. While on the Trailblazer, a crew is haunted by a near-fatal incident from a few years ago--when a man went overboard only to be narrowly saved by Capt. Jonathan Hillstrand. Last season, six men lost their lives on the Bering Sea. This year more lives are at stake--and some won't make it back. The King crab season kicks off in October. Captain Sig Hansen, a 30-year veteran and a third generation fisherman, will match his skills against his old rivals, Phil Harris of the Cornelia Marie, the Hillstrand brothers of the Time Bandit, and Captain Keith Colburn of the Wizard. The fleet will push hundreds of miles out to sea and fish four hundred feet deep in search of the prized crustaceans. The captains will strategize, and the crews will be pushed to the limits of mental and physical endurance as they repeatedly drop and haul the 700-pound crab pots. Before the season is out, the men will face down huge storms, severe injury, a ticking clock--and each other--to bring in the King crab harvest.
