When Max's mother goes out of town, Zoe finds herself trying to keep the house in order and the boys out of trouble. Insisting they have no need for mothering, Max and Rex ditch Zoe and head off to the Swiss Alps, the location of the most recent dinosaur sighting. They are surprised to find the Maiasaura is protecting her egg and not budging, even withstanding the Alpha Gangs attacks. Zoe is able to calm the Maiasaura down and teach the boys what mothering is all about.
