Sgt. Joe Friday (series star Jack Webb) and his partner, Officer Bill Gannon (co-star Harry Morgan), break up an LSD party and track down a suspect who has been selling the drug to teen-agers. Michael Burns guest-stars as Benjie Blue Boy Carver, an 18-year old pusher who not only provides the drug which produces weird hallucinations, but also uses the acid. Carver first encounters the law when, painted up garishly, he is arrested at a vacant lot with his head buried in the ground. Earlier he had been reported chewing bark from a tree. His well-to-do parents (Robert Knapp and Eve Brent) are indignant with the police but later learn the hard way of LSD's destructive effects.
