In The Night the Cylons Landed, a Galactican Viper patrol ship deliberately collides with an attacking Cylon craft piloted by look-alike humanoids Andromus and Andromidus and their Centurions, hoping to inflict enough damage to prevent them from monitoring Earth. On Galactica, Adama and Dr. Zee assume their monitors have picked up their own damaged craft drifting into Earth's gravitational pull. Fearing it will be observed by the planet's defense systems, Adama alerts Troy and Dillon to rendezvous with the landing spacecraft.
