Two of the world's most feared outlaw motorcycle gangs, the Hells Angels and the Mongols, are entrenched in a brutal turf war for the state of California. The fight began in 1977 when the Mongols began claiming California as their territory. It was a slap in the face to the Hells Angels, who had long felt that California was theirs. Over the next three decades, continued violent encounters escalated the war. In April 2002, the gangs clashed on the floor at Harrah's Casino leaving three dead and the public outraged. Then in 2008, the war exploded in the streets of San Francisco, with the murder of Hells Angels Chapter President, Mark Papa Guardado.
