Maya tries to avoid calls from her publisher when she experiences writer's block and is unable to complete her third book. Later, Maya learns that her pregnancy is at risk and the doctors instruct her to stay off her feet as much as possible, but she doesn't listen. Meanwhile, Joan is having a hard time renting her apartment to Lynn and William, and Monica start to discover differences in their relationship.
