The hard-partying antics of small-town factory worker Kyle (Jan-Michael Vincent) grow tiresome for his girlfriend, Jodie (Kim Basinger), who increasingly feels the tug of the big city, especially after her friend, Caroline (Tanya Tucker), becomes a music star in California.
