I Can't Escape

After serving five years in prison, Steve Nichols (Onslow Stevens) learns fast that his ex-convict status doesn't sit well with potential employers, and the only business that will hire him is a bond house, which -- unbeknownst to Steve -- is run by criminals. With the help of his world-weary gal pal Mae (Lila Lee), Steve tries to adjust to life on the outside, but the past keeps catching up with him in this romantic crime drama.
