The trailer for I Can't Think Straight, which is based on Shamim's upcoming third novel, and represented her first time at the helm as director, having begun her studies in directing and film at the Raindance Institute in London. Sarif also served as the screenwriter on the film. Before being able to complete the feature, she started shooting her second film, The World Unseen, also adapted from her novel of the same name and which has been received with critical and audience acclaim.
