Renegade cop and bounty hunter Reno Raines is hired by a Japanese banking executive, Yukio Ota (JAMES SHIGETA), to rescue his kidnapped teenage daughter, Mitsuko (KEIKO), from a mysterious warlord known only as "The Dragon" (AL LEONG). While Reno is assisted by his employer, Bobby Six Killer, Ota insists that his own security chief, Takara (CARYHIROYUKI TAGAWA), work with them as well. There is an immediate power struggle between Reno and Takara because the disciplined martial arts master blames Reno for interfering in a previous rescue attempt of Mitsuko from The Dragon's whip-wielding sadistic killer, Frank Sand (ANTHONY DeLONGIS )
