Tom Whitus' thriller Dead Silence begins with when Rachel Pressman (Daveigh Chase) sees a murder. Cop Steve Banks (Vincent Spano) and psychiatrist Dr. Julie Craig (Kristy Swanson) are former lovers, and they are responsible for keeping Rachel safe and helping her testify. The murder, however, appears to be part of a complicated conspiracy involving powerful politicians.
