Based on the true story of incarcerated civil rights revolutionary and Black Panther, George Jackson, this film revolves around the dramatic events that unfolded on August 7, 1970. In August 1970, Jackson's younger brother, Jonathan, and other militants, took hostages in a federal courtroom to protest his brother s intolerable treatment at San Quentin prison, and to demand the release of his brother and two other prisoners - together known as the "Soledad Brothers." Starring Gary Dourdan (TV's "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation"; "Alien: Resurrection") as George Jackson, and Ezra Stanley ("Quality of Life," "EDtv") as his brother, Jonathan.
