Markus needs Jeremiah to make contact with the leader of an unnamed, well-organized group, who runs her operation much like an underground railroad for supplies and materials. Unknown to Jeremiah, this woman is someone with whom he has a history. Michelle came into Jeremiah's life when he was without hope and gave him the courage to go on with his mission.
