Jeremiah and Kurdy come to the town of New Hope whose occupants are forbidden to have any physical contact with one another. After a young teenager rebels against this and is murdered and a mother is kept prisoner away from her daughter, Jeremiah and Kurdy are forced to take matters into their own hands.
